A Frigate is nothing too impressive, and really the only reason
to be in one is if you ended up losing your ship and your escape

 3 Cruiser ()  Deployment: General 

The Cruiser is a nicely balanced ship, and the first to be able
to hold its own in the universe without serious threat to your
well-being. It carries a nice mix of firepower and defenses and
would make a good ship to shoot for early on. During the Wars,
it was a favorite ship to accompany early missions for telepathic
races, because it was the smallest ship (and therefore least
expensive) to carry enough crew to mind-control a colony. Of
course, telepathic races are now extinct, but there is nothing
wrong with a little bit of history.

15 O{w}RION {c}G{w}UARDIAN (Loknar Ltd.)  Deployment: General 

Nothing quite matches the might of the Orion Guardian that
once protected the planet of Orion against invaders. It was the
single most powerful ship ever constructed by anyone -- until we
were able to synthesize it from the remains that fell into the
atmosphere of the planet during the Antaran War. Admittedly,
though we may boast otherwise, it isn't quite as nice as the
original, but nothing else here at StarDock even comes close to
its might. Something else to note is, yes, it DOES have the
Defensive Guardian bonus meaning that its defensive odds
quadruple when defending a planet owned by the same entitity
as the ship. In other words, a personal ship will defend personal
planets, while a corporate ship will defend corporate planets. As
with all Orion ships, this one requires a Federal Commission. It
also cannot complete a landing on any planet and costs more than
a fleet of other ships, but it's value is worth every penny.

The Antarans, during the war that bears their name, were the
most feared force in the universe. A single Antaran ship could
often destroy two ships at once that were twice its size. They
also had this nasty habit of carrying Quantam Detonators which,
if you DID happen to destroy your opponent, you were likely
close enough to the enemy ship to catch a nice share of the
explosion the ship made as it left your sensors.
This first Antaran ship trumps the traditional destroyer by
a long shot and might be worth your time.

This craft has been identified as the Ferrengi's primary scouting vessel.
It does carry sufficient firepower to pose a threat to some of the smaller

speed and agility.  One craft by it's self can be handled, but be warned that
they prefer to travel in convoys.

The U.S.S. Constellation was destroyed recently when it was engaged by this
new class of Ferrengi vessel.  The craft dropped out of a cloaked mode and
attacked the Constellation before they even had a chance to raise their shields

appearance of one of these weapons of Destruction is a Priority Red demand for

21 Antaran Cruiser (Antares Relics)  Deployment: General 

Again, the Antarans showed their military might with their
Cruiser. It was able to make short work of most traditional
BattleShips during the War. Capturing the technology to
remake them wasn't easy, but if you happen to get one of
these, you won't be disappointed.

26 Antaran Titan (Antares Relics)  Deployment: General 

There was only one of these in existence during the War,
and it went down defending Antares against our onslaught.
However, its technology was amazing, as was its fortitude.
From the scraps we recovered from the original Antares after
we invaded, we now have been able to reconstruct this ship.
It is something to be feared; few other ships can stand
against it, and if they do, they had better be ready for a big
blast in response.

27 Antaran DoomStar (Antares Relics)  Deployment: General 

Thankfully, none of these were were ever constructed during
the Antaran War. After the invasion of Antares our scientists
and engineers were examining the records retrieved from what
was left of the Antares weapons and construction research labs.
Presumably, when the Antarans began failing in their raids into
our galaxy, they believed their Titan would not be strong enough
to withstand our assault should we attack them. Thankfully, we
invaded before they were ever able to build one of these
intimidating and powerful vessels. Slightly larger and more
powerful than our DoomStars (which were already the size of
small moons), no other ship in standard use can possibly
stand against it, unless you count the Orion Guardian.
